PROFESSIONAL LIFE
I qualified as a Sports Therapist in 2009. After which, I went straight into studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Along with Sports Therapy and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, I am also studying nutrition as I feel it is a huge aspect of performance in sports and to get the best out of whatever area of life you want to exceed in.
Since qualifiying in 2012, I gained experience with Olympic athletes in such groups as Nike Oregon Project & Oregon Track Club.
Currently, I am the Therapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach to the Olympic 1500m Champion, Taoufik Makhloufi from Algeria. However, I am not affiliated to any particular group or team.
Furthermore, I have worked with Olympic medalists from Kenya, Ethiopia, Algeria and Tunisa, U.S.A, Great Britain, Botswana, Morocco. Along with these, Evan has worked with elite athletes from Canada, Australia, Belgium, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, France, Bahrain, Somalia, Ireland, and Mexico.
PERSONAL LIFE
I have a huge interest in sports and in the way the human body can perform in all aspects. As a youngster, I ran for Ireland.
I was born with a genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis. A condition that effects multiple organs in the body, mainly in the lungs. I was given a life expectancy of 10. Currently I am 29, and have never admitted to hospital which is rarely seen in the CF world.
I put my love for helping others & to be a better human from having CF. If I can overcome CF, I feel I can help others overcome injuries, and weaknesses with the focus on being more efficient in their respected field, and even in life, I feel everything I do on a daily basis goes in to figuring the anatomy and the movement of humans. I am always looking for ways to help people become a better version of themselves. It is borderline obsessive!
